Frequently asked questions
The questions we get asked most, answered properly. If yours is not here, WhatsApp us on (+27) 78 514 2740.
Buying and delivery
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes. Every price shown on this site includes VAT. Delivery and installation are quoted separately after the free site survey, because they depend on your distance, access and whether craning is needed.
Why do some products show a price range?
Larger models come in more than one configuration — heater type, cabinet finish and optional systems change the final figure. The price shown on the product page is the entry price for that model. The full range is stated in the product description, and your quote confirms the exact figure.
How long does delivery take?
Handling takes one to three working days and delivery a further five to fourteen working days, depending on province and model. We confirm a delivery window with you in advance.
Do you deliver outside the major cities?
Yes, we deliver to all nine provinces including smallholdings and farm addresses. Remote deliveries may carry an additional transport charge, which is shown in your quote before you commit.
Can I see one before I buy?
Send us a WhatsApp and we will tell you what is viewable and where. For most models we can also send additional photos and video of the specific unit.
Installation and power
What base does a hot tub need?
A level, load-bearing surface rated for the filled weight — usually a reinforced concrete slab or engineered decking. A filled six-seat spa can weigh over two tonnes, and a large swim spa considerably more. We confirm requirements during the site survey.
Do I need three-phase power?
It depends on the model. Compact hot tubs, spa baths, infrared cabins and steam rooms generally run on standard 220 V single phase. Swim spas from about four metres, larger six-seat spa baths and the premium steam enclosure need 380 V three phase. Each product page lists the requirement under Additional Information.
Is the electrical connection included?
Connection to your distribution board must be done by a registered electrician who issues a Certificate of Compliance. Your quote will state clearly whether we arrange this or you do.
What about load-shedding?
Electric units simply stop heating and resume when power returns; a well-insulated tub with a closed thermal cover loses very little in a two-hour outage. If outages are frequent where you are, the wood fired range needs no electricity at all.
Running and maintenance
What does a hot tub cost to run?
It depends on size, insulation, cover quality, target temperature and your tariff. An insulated four-seater held at 38°C year-round is the common case. Our running costs guide walks through the numbers in detail.
How much maintenance is involved?
Weekly water testing and chemical adjustment, a filter rinse every few weeks, and a full drain and refill every three to four months for a domestic tub. Models with UV-C sanitation cut the chemical side down considerably.
Can I use it in winter?
Yes. Insulated cabinets and thermal covers are designed for year-round use, and a hot tub in a Highveld or Free State winter is arguably when it earns its keep.
Cold plunge and sauna
Do I need a chiller for an ice bath?
Not necessarily. A barrel can be filled with ice, which is cheaper to start with but inconsistent and ongoing work. A built-in or external chiller holds a set temperature between 3°C and 15°C every session, which is what turns cold exposure into a sustainable habit.
Sauna, steam room or infrared — which should I get?
They are three different things. Traditional saunas run hot and dry, steam rooms run cooler and fully humid, and infrared heats your body directly at a lower air temperature. Our comparison guide sets out the differences.
Is cold water immersion safe for everyone?
No. Cold water immersion places real stress on the cardiovascular system. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, are pregnant, or have any other medical concern, speak to your doctor before starting. Never plunge alone.
Warranty and returns
What warranty do I get?
It varies by model, from a 12-month comprehensive warranty on massage chairs and portable units up to five years on the shell and three years on components for the premium ranges. The exact terms are listed on each product page under Additional Information.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act you may cancel an online purchase within seven days of delivery and return the goods in their original, unused condition. See our returns policy for the process and what it costs.
