Delivery and installation
Every unit we sell is delivered and installed by us. Here is exactly what that involves and what it costs.
1. Free site survey
Before any deposit changes hands, we check three things: access, surface and supply. Access means the route from the street to the final position — gates, corners, stairs, overhanging branches. Surface means whether the base can carry the filled weight, which for a large swim spa runs into several tonnes. Supply means whether your distribution board can give the unit the 220 V single phase or 380 V three phase it needs.
If any of the three is a problem, we tell you before you buy, not after.
2. Quotation
Product prices on this site include VAT. Delivery and installation are quoted separately because they depend on distance, access and whether craning is required. You get that figure in writing before you commit.
3. Delivery
Handling takes one to three working days, and delivery a further five to fourteen working days depending on province and model. We confirm a delivery window in advance and someone needs to be on site to receive the unit.
4. Installation and commissioning
Certified technicians place the unit, connect it and commission it. Electrical connection to your distribution board must be carried out by a registered electrician who issues a Certificate of Compliance — we will tell you plainly whether that is included in your quote or arranged by you.
5. Handover
Before we leave, we run through heating and temperature control, water treatment and the cleaning routine, cover use, and what to do when there is no power. Wood-fired units get a first firing with you present.
What you need to have ready
- A level, load-bearing base — reinforced concrete slab or engineered decking rated for the filled weight
- Clear access along the delivery route on the day
- A water supply within reach for filling
- Electrical supply at the correct voltage and amperage, or a registered electrician booked
- For wood-fired units, safe clearance around the stove and a supply of dry wood
